Virtual Tour

I had a hard time finding actual virtual tours online but finally came across the website listed above that had many options to choose from, mostly relating to the social sciences. I chose a virtual tour on African wildlife which I would probably use in K-3rd grade classrooms. I viewed a tour of the elephant plains along with live video of a bald eagle. Most of the videos were live so there wasn't a lot of action, however there were previous recordings that captured movement. I think that this would be a great resource to use in the classroom that would make the students feel they were a part of what was happening. This is something I could have playing on the big screen during free time as well. Overall, great resource.

  1. Here is another site I found. http://www.msichicago.org/
It is the museum of Science and Industry webpage. The site changes frequently but there are some really neat classroom actities to engage student's learning. One I thought was especially neat was how to grow a garden in a glove.
