Joel is trying to give tate a pound or "knucks". Tate isn't havin it.

Oh they look sweet now but something tells me these boys will get into a fair amount of trouble in a couple of years. We enjoyed dinner at Scott and Liz's house this week and the cousins enjoyed playing together.

Tate is growing up way too fast. He is now taking his first steps and thinks he's mr. independant. He took 8 steps all on his own today. This has all happened within a few days so I imagine it will only be a few weeks until he is an official walker. It's a good thing he has some padding on his tooshy because he takes some hard falls once in a while.

This is Tate's new girlfriend, Alayna. She's a Hawkeye fan.

Tate loves his baths. He now enjoys standing up in the bath which doesn't go over so well with Mommy. The other day we were filling up the pool outside and he crawled in with his clothes on.

This is our typical morning. Tate hops into bed with us and than attempts to escape off the side of the bed.

I'm crawling!

Our little man is officially on the move! He loves to tear around the house and get into everything he's not supposed to. He is standing on everything; the coffee table, couch, doors, chairs, his crib. He also loves to use Zach and I as his obstacle course and climbs over us.

Tate enjoyed dressing up for Tulip Time last weekend. He is quite the looker in his wooden shoes! Maybe next year we will walk in the parade!

Bath time fun. Tate loves taking baths now. By the time he gets out of the tub his feet are all wrinkly! We also like to listen to our country music during bath time. He thinks it's quite funny when mommy sings and dances for him. (o:

My tulip boy

Today we took a nice stroll around town to look at the already bloomed tulips! Im not sure there will be much of a tulip time. The flowers are beautiful and Tate was loving all of the pretty flowers and colors. He wanted to touch all of them but I hear there is a $50 fine for every tulip you pick. That's Pella. The litte munchkin fell asleep on the way home. Too much excitement for one day.

Molly Rose Carson was born to Scott and Liz Carson on April 15th! She is the little sister of Joel and as precious as can be. We can't wait to see her again.

Tate's favorite play pen... until he fell over and couldn't move. Bath time for little man Tate. He loves his ducky and especially his boat from Grandma C! He's still not crazy about bath time, but he is slowly starting to discover the wonder of water and how much fun it is to splash!

Remember this giant fellow? Tate loves him right now. I thought he might be scared but he just thought the teddy was so funny! He also loves to rest his head on him. So cute. We havent come up with a name for the bear yet. Any suggestions?

Scott, Liz, Joel and Barkley will be expecting their 2nd beautiful baby at the end of this week!!! I can't wait to see their precious baby girl.

Nap time???

Somebody was supposed to be sleeping but instead thought it would be fun to giggle and play in his crib. We may need to get the sleep positioner back out. (o:

Too much to do!! Just finished taking a test, now back to class, taxes tonight, judge cheerleadin tryouts tomorrow for PHS, do a hair updo for my friend...... clean the house??? It's a good thing we dont plan on having any visitors this weekend. You would think a tornado went through the place. Why is life so busy? I think I need to breathe, ahhhhh

We were playing with our Easter Eggs today and working on sitting up. Tate is doing pretty good sitting by himself but has the occasional spill.

Teething

Tate is a teether! He has two bumps on his lower gums and I cant wait for those teeth to break free! He is a stinker and very fussy during the day. Thankfully he slept better last night. He has been gumming his lower lip and drooling like a dog. He is a very happy baby if we keep him occupied and focus all of our attention on him.(o:

He likes to play games with us, peek a boo and he will act all shy when we sweet talk to him. He has been happy screaming a lot lately. He wants everybody to hear him. There is no volume control on the boy, just like his Daddy. Right now he definitely acts and looks like Zach which of course Zach loves. Zach's favorite song that him and Tate share is "Anything Like Me" by Brad Paisley. If you get a chance you should have a listen.
